60 Scandinavian Christmas Home Decor, Christmas Tree and Gifts 2018

Christmas season is just started and here are some ways to decorate your home Scandinavian style. I have taken inspiration from various trends and tried to incorporate them to create a white and silver theme with strong black and wooden elements.

As we want our space to feel christmassy but also elegant and simple without having too much decor clutter,

These are some easy tips to change up your space for Christmas.

  1. Keep most of your colour scheme white, you can also add some red/green colour
  2. Garlands are very easy to decorate with, ex: around the door, on the dining table.
  3. Christmas trees can be tricky to decorate but a good way is to stick with one colour ornaments for a cleaner look
  4. Changing out hand clothes in the kitchen can instantly spice up the kitchen for christmas.

So relax, cozy up and enjoy your christmas!

One of the main element in Scandinavian design the use of Wood, which gives the space a more homely and nature aesthetic. Wood also resonates with sustainability and is very affordable.

Light is another element in Scandi design. Allowing lots of light in your space makes the area seem bigger and more clean. Having white surfaces helps light bounce off and creates a more peaceable environment for you and your family.

Scandinavian Bedroom Design to De-clutter The Mind and Body

The below bedroom look is one of my favourites for the summer. Scandinavian bedrooms are usually kept very minimal, white and airy, The bedroom easily incorporates whites, browns and blacks for that scandinavian look. Adding pieces like rugs and stools to add a little more pop of colour can make your place feel homely.

Scandinavian design is all about functionality, simplicity and minimalism, there should be harmony between all the elements in the room making it come together as one. As your bedroom is one of the few important rooms in the house, having it clean and minimal helps you de-clutter your mind and body while you sleep.

30 SCANDINAVIAN LIVING ROOM SEATING ARRANGEMENT IDEAS

Seating arrangements can be one of the most hardest yet creative decisions you can take  in your home. Even though, each layout is specifically designed for the room you are designing for you can always change up the look with adding various different types of  chairs and sofas which can give the room a more polished and well thought look.

Every arrangement has a certain look and feel to it. The following are some examples of different types of looks.

  1. Cozy: Pushing the furniture together is a great hack if you have a smaller space
  2. Brighten: Adding all white can brighten up and open the space
  3. Float Furniture: Pushing your furniture to the center can give the illusion of a bigger space
  4. Low Seating: Having sofas with low seating helps make the walls look higher than what they actually seem.
